How To Search
This page is designed as a broad van search. You can start with any selection that matters to you, including 'Manufacturer', 'Model Range', 'Body Style', 'Length', 'Height', 'Payload', 'Fuel' or 'Gearbox'.
You do not need to complete every filter before starting a search. Select the items that are important to your van requirement, then click the 'Search' button.
The more selections you make, the more focused the search results will become.
How The 'All Vans' Search Works
The search uses structured van data and applies each filter to the available vehicles. This allows you to begin with a broad list of vans and then narrow the results using practical specification data.
This can be useful if you do not want to start with a single search category. For example, you may want to combine manufacturer, body style, length, payload and fuel type in one search.
'Manufacturer' And 'Model Range' Search
If you want to restrict the search results to one brand of van, select the brand from the 'Manufacturer' list.
Once a manufacturer has been selected, you can also restrict the results to a specific model range where available.
Manufacturer and model range are search filters only. DriveSmart does not recommend one manufacturer or model range over another.
'Body Style' Search
You can narrow the search by body style, including panel vans, pickups, chassis cabs, crew vans, dropsides, Lutons, tippers and minibuses where these are identified in the vehicle data.
Body style can affect load space, seating, payload, loading access and the type of work the van may be suitable for.
'Length/Height' Search
Length and height filters help narrow the search to vans with suitable dimensions and load space.
- Standard/Short Wheelbase (SWB-L1)
- Medium Wheelbase (MWB-L2)
- Long Wheelbase (LWB-L3)
- Extra-Long Wheelbase (L4)
- Standard Roof (H1)
- Medium Roof (H2)
- High Roof (H3)
- Extra-High Roof (H4)
Different wheelbases and roof heights can affect load volume, loading access, manoeuvrability and height restrictions.
'Payload' Search
Payload can be used as an additional filter if carrying capacity is important.
Similar vans can have different payload capacities because of wheelbase, roof height, drivetrain, seating layout, body configuration, battery weight and gross vehicle weight.
If payload is your main requirement, the dedicated payload search may also be useful.
'Fuel/Gearbox' Search
If you want to restrict the search results by fuel type, select the required fuel.
If you select 'Electric' as the fuel type, please note that the gearbox type will normally be 'Automatic' irrespective of any selections in the 'Gearbox' list.
Fuel and gearbox filters can help identify vans that better match your operating pattern, driver requirements or business policy.
Search Results
Once the search results appear, you can display additional details such as body dimensions, payload, economy, emissions, performance, maintenance and battery information where these are available.
To compare actual payload, open the 'PAYLOAD' section and select 'Max. Payload Weight'.
You can also display kerb weight, gross vehicle weight, load length, load width, load height, load volume and towing information where these fields are available.
To see additional items, click on the buttons for 'BODY', 'DIMENSIONS', 'PAYLOAD', 'ECONOMY', 'EMISSIONS', 'PERFORMANCE', 'MAINTENANCE' or 'BATTERY' and select the information you wish to display.
The most effective way of searching is to set the filters that matter to your van requirement first, then click the 'Search' button.
