Getting Started

To view van running costs:

1. Choose how long you expect to keep the van
2. Select your typical annual mileage
3. Choose the manufacturer, model range and derivative you want to see

We'll then display the van's price, forecast depreciation, servicing and maintenance costs, fuel costs and pence-per-mile figures.

To clear your vehicle selection, click the 'Reset' button.

Prices

We'll display the manufacturer's published:

• List Price*
• Delivery Charges (if any)
• The initial tax disc ('vehicle excise duty') for the van
• The statutory first registration fee
• The total 'On-The-Road Price' of the van
• The second year tax disc ('vehicle excise duty')
• The fuel type of the van

*Please note that the List Price shown may be different due to the electric van and plug-in van grant.

Depreciation

We'll display the forecast depreciation of the van from the manufacturer's List Price over the period you expect to keep it and your mileage, including:

• List Price
• Forecast residual value or resale price of the van
• Forecast depreciation from List Price over the term and total mileage
• The residual value as a percentage of List Price after your selected term and mileage

Running Costs

We'll display the forecast costs of operating the van over your selected term and total mileage.

These are typically known as servicing, maintenance and repair (SMR) costs and include:

• Forecast SMR costs including and excluding VAT
• Forecast fuel costs over the term and mileage using the WLTP fuel consumption rate or recharge costs for electric vans

Changing the Costs

You can change some of the running costs of the van to reflect the costs you actually incur.

Once the forecast running costs have appeared, scroll down to the 'Your Running Costs' section, or click the 'Your Running Costs' button.

You will then see the 'Edit Details' box. This allows you to change:

• The purchase price of the van
• The fuel cost of the van

Simply enter the new amount in the appropriate Edit Details box and the costs will be recalculated automatically.

Please ensure you enter numeric values only.

For electric vans, you can change the electricity cost you pay (in pence per kilowatt hour) and the range of the van.

For vans with an internal combustion engine, including hybrids, you can change the fuel price per litre and the fuel consumption (miles per gallon or MPG).
