The Four Main Assessment Areas
Adult Occupant Protection
Measures the protection provided to adult occupants during frontal, side and rear impact tests. The assessment considers body structure, restraint systems, airbags and injury measurements recorded during testing.
Child Occupant Protection
Evaluates how well children are protected using approved child restraint systems. The assessment includes both crash performance and the ease of correctly fitting child seats.
Vulnerable Road User Protection

Electric Vehicle Safety

Many electric vehicles achieve excellent safety ratings due to strong passenger safety cells and low centers of gravity.
